‘We are very happy to know that another talent from our Academy of Excellence is being given the opportunity to prove his potential beyond our shores. This is a reflection of the hard work and dedication of the coaches and players in the program. As President of the TCIFA, I am very heartened at the prospects of these young people; as it not only argues well for football in the Turks and Caicos Islands and across the region, but for the development of the sport worldwide'; words from our President, Sonia Bien-Aime.

In 2015 the TCIFA invited Hue Menzies to visit as part of our Guest Coaches Program. Mr. Menzies is the Executive Director and Head of Coaching at Florida Kraze Krush, a very large soccer club in Orlando Florida.  Mr. Menzies is also the Technical Director of the Jamaica Women’s Football Program.  During his time here Mackenson and James lee were among players identified to be guest players for various age group teams at Florida Kraze Krush during significant tournaments in 2016.  The CDL College Showcase Tournament is the first of such.

“This is a massive opportunity for the players to express themselves on the field knowing that the possibility of a college scholarship could be the result if they conduct themselves in an exemplary fashion both on and off the field.  The TCIFA recognises and is committed to creating additional pathways for the further development of our elite players and this is just one example.  There is a lot of talent in our program and we as an association will always endeavour to expose this talent for the benefit of the players, the TCIFA and the country”; words from our President, Sonia Bien-Aime

Both players are enthused and eager to impress during this tournament.  They leave on February 10, 2016 and returns on February 15, 2016.
