Youth Development Programme

In the past 3 years the TCIFA has managed to increase the number of children playing organized football from under 100 to almost 400 in both Provo and Grand Turk. It is anticipated that Grass Roots programmes will soon begin in North and Middle Caicos as well as in South Caicos. Hopefully the FIFA Grass Roots Seminar scheduled for October 2010 will have a big impact in consolidating our development and creating more opportunities for people to take up the sport.

At the moment the TCIFA runs the following programmes in Providenciales.

Regional Academies are found at the following age groups: Under 7 Coed, Under 9 Coed, Under 12 Boys, Under 14 Boys, Under 16 Boys, Under 20 Boys, Under 11 Girls, Under 13 Girls, Under 20 Girls

Leagues are also run in several age groups

Under 12 Boys, Under 14 Boys, Under 20 Boys and under 20 Girls (the very successful Central Storage League)

In addition the TCIFA runs schools competitions for girls and boys at the following ages: Under 11, Under 13, Under 15 and Under 20

The TCIFA will also be starting a twice weekly Center of Excellence for its most gifted players for Under 13 Boys and Girls. This programme will commence in January 2011.

Grand Turk has several Regional Academies, Under 11 Coed, Under 14 Boys and Under 20 Boys and Girls. A U20 Girls league is due to start in October and school games are often played at junior level.
